SnowRunner Unsolved Technical Issues Enough is Enough

Hello Focus,
I want to bring Focus Entertainment attention to Saber SnowRunner Studios, which has not addressed bugs and technical issues for months.

  • January 2023 in SnowRunner Community Updated, the Team recognized the issue with Connection and Coop/Multiplayer on Xbox. Almost ten months later, there is no fix for this issue or update about it. Why?

  • After Season 9 was released on February 28, SnowRuner started to crash a lot, especially on consoles such as Xbox. I play on PC, and after Season 10, the same is happening on my end. I opened a "Request" number, #35997, with the Saber Support webpage, ran several tests and followed every step the support team gave me. They concluded the issue wasn't on my machine but instead with the game, but there is no solution so far. Why?

  • A new issue was introduced in Season 10 (approximately two months ago) where the Logitech G29 and G923 steering wheels stopped working with PlayStation. A New Season is about to be announced/released, and there is no comment about a solution. Why?

  • Desing issues also happen with the game; now, since there are no more BugFix Patches between Seasons, we can't complete the main purpose of the game, which is the delivery of cargo and trailers. Watch the video below
    Youtube Video

  • A truck with a high saddle is required for the Task, if this truck isn't compatible with this trailer, Why is there no alert message? Does it take four years to create a pop-up alert message about it?

After those few examples listed, why is there no clear effort/results from the Saber SnowRunner team to deliver BugFixes for the game and talk about it in their Monthly Community update?

It is visible now that Saber is cashing up selling new content and not focusing on resolving bugs and technical issues with the game. Even in the list of bugs that get delivered, only when new content is dropped, at least half of them are spotted by the community, if not more. Where is the QA testing Team for this game?

A connection issue with the Xbox Console cannot last for ten months without a solution.

A Logitech Steering wheel on PlayStation cannot last two months without a fix or word about it from Saber. People still buy this game on PlayStation to play with Logitech Steering wheels.

Please talk to the Saber team and ask or allow them to FOCUS on solving Technical issues and bugs with the game rather than keep selling new content and cashing up. We ain't fools, this trend of selling new content instead of fixing issues has to stop. We just want a smooth game to play.

If this is how Saber will keep supporting SnowRunner along with Expeditions, Year 4 of SnowRunner should be free for everyone because it feels like we are paying to tell them what needs to be fixed instead of just playing and having a smooth experience with the game.

Thanks
Regards

A high saddle truck is not required, it's just that Freightliner exclusively cannot haul Fuel carrier semi-trailer and Heavy Water Carrier Trailer, it's a design decision made of the fact the Freightliner's frame is too short and the trailer would physically and visually collide, there's not bug to be found here, always been like this since the release.

Does it take four years to create a pop-up alert message about it?

Because noone suggested or thought of that? You could be first providing valuable feedback instead of thinking that developers are magically aware of each and every of your darkest desires.

Also, Focus is aware of the state of SnowRunner and together with Saber they did comment/address those issues weeks ago, so you've clearly missed this information and as you see there's is effort, both communication-wise and technical-wise.

Next update also fixes at least one of the four issues you've mentioned (and countless more you have not), with or without content updates, the issues still takes weeks or months to fix and would take another weeks to get console certification, much more logical approach is to push as much fixes and content as possible together, that's why they mostly coincide but not always. And any major problem with a release of an update will set it back weeks away (failed certification, licensing issues), as the case of the latest cancelled bugfix update shows. But also again, developing new content doesn't particularly affect the process of fixing the issues, because those both tasks are being handled by different kind of people on the team, halting new content won't magically make the other team instantly speed up the process of fixing or figuring out how to fix them.

A simple message needs to be clear here: all issues pointed directly affect the gameplay mechanics and/or game features. Please note, that there wasn't a single commentary about cosmetic issues, like visual glitches with the terrain, trees not rendering, etc.

If a team is spending 10 months investigating connection/crashing issues on Xbox without a solution, a red flag has to be raised and potentially bring Microsoft along, or whatever it takes to solve it.

If Saber thinks it is okay to have their community player base, waiting for fixes for 10, 5 and 3 months that directly affect the gameplay mechanics and/or game features and only bring them along new paid content updates, no problem. Keep doing it, and we keep complaining about it because it is not right. Saber needs to be accountable and deliver stand-alone patches for bug fixes to broken gameplay features and mechanics.

At the end of the day, all we see are the fixes. Are they in the game right now? No! Is there a clear communication or progress status shared with the community about it? No! Will we all be here debating this if the fixes were in the game? Sure, no.
