I got the key from the Cardinal's apartment. But instead of getting costumes I managed to just sneak past into the party area in the basement. I collected all the clues and was told to head to the inn to question the Inn Keeper. I went and spoke to him, he had 3 options that gave me general info that stated Cardinal had never been there, but for questions about Candy Cane I needed to head to the basement. That was it, he no longer has any options when I speak to him except leave. However, there is still an objective marker on his head that says I need to talk to him. I tried bypassing and talking to the guy in the basement. He did tell me about "Candy Cane" but did not advance the quest at all. So now I am stuck and I can't remove the priest dude from my party despite not liking him at all. Any advice?
