devourer stops because it thinks its too close to the tail
this is way to carefull for a faction where you cant manually do precise maneuvers by using boost and high energy turn

still think the tips of the tail tentacles should just not have collision
that way you could use the collision avoidance from beta safely
its a better solution for nids as they are aware of eachother so would wiggle their tails out of the way anyway

currently close maneuvers are clumsy and hard to do, sometimes forcing you to use rush to get them unstuck
as rush is very valuable to nids this is pretty bad
